Broken Arrow Rose District Touts successes
By: Tulsa World
Broken Arrow Chamber President Wes Smithwick and Broken Arrow City Manager Michael Spurgeon touted the expansion as an example of a well-executed public-private partnership.
Spurgeon said the goal with a venture like the Rose District is to create a sense of place — an area with the ability to draw people in to shop, congregate and spend sales-tax dollars, which the fountain at the entrance of the farmer’s market will do.
The Rose District expects to add four new businesses in the next few months: American Hatfield, Cheri Ann’s Trattoria, Hillary’s Boutique and Hops & Hangers. Andolini’s Pizzeria, Franklin’s Pork & Barrel, The Painted Lyon and Toast Breakfast & Brunch all opened at the end of last year.
